Advanced insights
Reports Wand Advanced insights is premium content developed by Oracle Financials subject matter experts. The content is delivered as a number of pre-built Reports Wand report definitions rolled up into an Advanced insights report pack. Each report definition includes a SQL query, metadata and business value description explaining how to use the definition and suggesting the types of report you can use it for.
Advanced insights utilizes the same improved Search features that other insights report definitions do.
Advanced insights Financial Pack
The Advanced insights Financial Pack covers Payables, Receivables, Purchasing, Assets and Cash Management and is currently available for purchase. Contact your account manager to discuss adding Advanced insights Financial Pack to your Wands for Oracle deployment.
Requirements
In order to use the Advanced insights packages please ensure the following two steps have been completed.
- Create insightsTables by running the install script
- Enable Reports Wand insights features in the System Administrator Configuration Options
Installation
Once in possession of an Advanced insights pack, follow the follow instructions to install all report definitions with metadata.
Select to insights Report Definition Packages as the Generation Type, and click on Next to continue.
Use the Explorer to select the name and location of the Package file on your computer and then click Finish to proceed with the generation process.
Once the process is complete a summary totaling the number of the report definitions enriched is displayed.
None of the newly generated report definitions will be assigned to request groups. Please see the Assign Reports section for this step.
